Child Check Program

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, a current, high-quality photo is the single most important tool in helping to recover missing and exploited children.

The Clarendon Hills Police Department traditionally offers the Child Check Program at Clarendon Hills Oktoberfest. The program is sponsored by the Clarendon Hills Bank, and Clarendon Hills Police Department. The program is supported by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Children are fingerprinted, videotaped, and photographed.  Parents receive the only set of fingerprints and the Poloroid photograph. Digital photos of the children are stored at the Clarendon Hills Police Department.

If needed, the Clarendon Hills Police are able to e-mail or fax a copy of the digital picture to any police department. This is essential if your child is lost or missing while on vacation or away from the area.
