Demographics   

Clarendon Hills and its surrounding market area have one of the strongest demographic profiles in DuPage County. The median household income in Clarendon Hills is among the highest in the County. According to Claritas, Inc., national demographic provider, the estimated 2005 median annual household income was $95,720 and is projected to grow to $106,540 by 2010.

Clarendon Hills’ income levels are expected to grow at rates greater than neighboring communities and the County as a whole. It is projected that Clarendon Hills’ median household income will be at least 30% higher than the County’s in 2010.

Clarendon Hills also boasts a highly educated population. Approximately 65% of the population 25 years of age and older has at least a bachelor’s degree. Additionally, more than 25% of the Village’s population holds a graduate or professional degree. Compared to the same age cohort in the county, Clarendon Hills’ higher education levels are 23 percentage points higher than the county overall.

Over the next five years, the Village is expected to experience a modest gain in population and households. The estimated number of households in 2005 was 3,080. By 2010, the number of households is expected to reach 3,300.
