Ogden Avenue TIF District

In December 2005, the Ogden Avenue Tax Increment Financing (TIF) District was established for a two block stretch of properties along Ogden Avenue. The TIF district’s boundaries are generally Ogden Avenue to the north, Oxford Avenue to the east, the southern parcel line measuring 300 feet from Ogden Avenue to the south, and Richmond Avenue to the west. The TIF district covers 8.7 acres and consists of 11 tax parcels. Its approximate dimensions are 1,260 feet x 300 feet.

The Ogden Avenue TIF Redevelopment Plan allows for reallocation of incremental tax dollars to help fund redevelopment and related activities, which includes infrastructure and streetscape improvements, site assembly, and rehabilitation costs. Qualifying private development projects may be eligible for assistance through the TIF program. As of 2007, there are properties within the TIF district on the market and available for redevelopment.

The Ogden Avenue Redevelopment Study and the Ogden Avenue TIF Eligibility Study and dedevelopment Plan in their entirety are available from the Village at www.clarendonhills.us.

Please contact Michael Brown, Director of Community Development, at 630-286-5400, for more details on available properties.
