John W. Hays began his career for the Village of Clarendon Hills Public Works Department in 1976 and has held the position as Director and Village Forester since 1988.  He is a 1972 graduate of Hinsdale Central High School, obtained a bachelors degree in 1976 from North Central College and is a licensed Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Public Water Supply Operator.  John is currently a member in good standing of the American Public Works Association, American Water Works Association and past chairman of the Mid-Central Water Works Association.  Although John spent his first 24 years residing in Clarendon Hills, he currently lives in Downers Grove with his wife Colleen and has three children.
