Flagg Creek Construction Updates
Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District (FCWRD) is currently in the process of constructing a major sanitary relief sewer that runs through sections of Hinsdale, Westmont and Clarendon Hills. The construction project includes more than $14 million in improvements that will help relieve sanitary sewer surcharging during heavy rainfalls. This multi-phase project will result in a number of road closures over the coming months. This webpage will be updated with the latest road closures and detours.
Flagg Creek has completed a significant amount of work on this project to date. The Village and Flagg Creek are currently negotiating an intergovernmental agreement that will clarify an existing agreement on what Flagg Creek's responsibilities for restoration of the existing roadways. It is the Village's position that Flagg Creek Water Reclamation District is responsible for the full restoration of roadways in Clarendon Hills affected by the project.
