On-Street Parking Restrictions.

The following parking restrictions were established to ensure that at least one (1) lane of traffic remains available to all users, except for unusual circumstances:

Construction projects located on the side of the roadway posted "No Parking" under Chapter 41 [link].

  1. Prior to any construction activity, building contractors will post signage stating, ''No Parking Between Signs Weekdays 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM," directly across the street from the construction site. The signs will prohibit parking for a length of thirty feet on either side of the construction sites driveway or haul road. The Police Department will advise the affected homeowner of the ''No Parking" prohibition, explaining the need to maintain an open roadway during construction hours. Contractors will purchase approved signs from the Village's Community Development Department as part of the permit process.
  2. Contractors will be allowed to use the roadway adjacent to the construction property for drop off and unloading only. If the construction project requires the use of both lanes of traffic at any time, a flagger will be required, and the action will not be allowed to close the road for more than five (5) minutes.
  3. Staging of delivery/hauling vehicles must occur on that side of the street, allowing parking, and must not block residential driveways at any time.

Construction projects located on the side of the roadway without parking restrictions established under Chapter 41 [link].

  1. All deliveries and drop-offs must be made within the property lines of the construction site, "No Parking Between Signs Weekdays 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM," purchased from the Village, will be posted at the property lines of the construction site. The contractor may allow worker parking between these signs but must ensure that space is cleared when deliveries are made.
  2. If this process requires use of both lanes of traffic at any time, a flagger will be required, and the action will not be allowed to close the road for more than 5 minutes.
